You know, I’m really enjoying creating these spa party themes and today I’m working with cucumbers and cranberries. I know I know, the holiday season is over but since it’s still January, I’m giving myself a pass and I hope you will too since this spread is really rich in both color and nourishment for your skin.
This set up is for a facial spa party and uses the Cucumber & Cranberry vita burst facial pampering set which as the name suggests is rich in vitamins, and other natural ingredients that are really nourishing for the skin. Cucumbers, cranberries and rosemary are used in skincare so don’t worry about using these fresh ingredients for styling, because they are safe to use.
Okay, let’s do this.
You can download the Cucumber & Cranberries: A rich spa shower theme PDF here so that you can browse and create this at your own leisure. Also at the bottom of the post, there are links that take you to where you can buy the products and other items used to create this spa shower theme.
This set up includes a facial cleanser, toner, microderm abrasion cream, face mask and moisturizer. There is a serum included in the pampering set which i didn’t include but can definitely be used as well.
Pictured above is the cleanser on the left and toner on the right.
For the cleanser, I rimmed the champagne flute. Do this by mixing the ‘Marine nutrient and cranberry detox masque’ with some water in a bowl wide enough to fit the rim of the flute. The mask comes in a powder form, in general, mix 1 and 1/2 teaspoons full of mask with 1 teaspoonful of water. Then dip the rim in the mixture as deep as you want the rim to be, take it out and leave it to dry for about 10 minutes. Once it is dry, fill it up about 2/3 full with cleanser, add a couple of cranberries and a sprig of rosemary. I came up with the arrangement above, but honestly you can have fun with it, use your imagination and come up with even more stunning ideas.
For the toner, fold a thin slice of cucumber and hold it in place using a toothpick then put a cranberry on either side and place it in the beautiful mini plastic bowl. After this pour the toner in and that’s pretty much it.
This picture above is the microderm abrasion cream. Fill the tiny bowl with the cream, and then using the toothpick like before, arrange the cucumber and cranberries then place them gently into the cream. Place the bowl (actually called a stem) on the tray that it comes with and voila, a simple but stunning set up.
Now onto the face mask. Just like before, add a bit of water a little at a time to the mask in a bowl and mix until you get a mousse like consistency. You can play around with this until you come up with the consistency you want. Put the resulting mixture in the serving bowl. Then beautify the mask with some cucumber, cranberries and rosemary sprigs.
Finally this is the face cream which I styled differently from the microderm abrasion cream for obvious reasons :). Add a bit of cream to the tray and style with some cranberries and rosemary.
This is a top shot of the facial. Rich, beautiful and looks good enough to eat right? Well you might say that it’s food for the skin! Yes, I’m corny like that :). You may be asking yourself, how in the world do we use these once they are set up? You can use mini spoons like the ones in this link as ‘serving spoons’, and I will be posting soon how to give yourself a spa facial in the near future, so look out for that.
As promised, click on the links below to take you to where you can buy the products and containers needed to create this spread and click here to download the Cucumber & Cranberries: A rich spa shower theme PDF.
Each of the facial products can be purchased on their own or together as the Cucumber & Cranberry vita burst facial set which also includes a serum which I didn’t include above, but can be styled beautifully in the spoon shown here. Cranberries, cucumbers and rosemary sprigs can be purchased from your local grocery store.
Now isn’t this a stunning idea for a bridal shower or just to have a great time with a group of friends? For a group of 20 people all you need is one facial set. You could also offer one of these items as a shower or party favor, so that each guest can take a little bit of the experience away with them.
If you get a chance to create your spread, please send me an email. I’d love to see it and share it if you would like. Drop us a line at email@example.com for more information.
