DIY Chocolate Strawberry Face Mask

strawberry in chocolateThis is a very simple face mask that is rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, soothing proteins. It also hydrates the skin.

Ingredients needed:
4 Strawberries
1 Teaspoon pure cocoa powder
1 Tablespoon coarse oat grains (or 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of fine grains if not using a food processor)
1 Teaspoon glycerin
Water as needed

1. Chop off the green leafy area of the strawberry, wash thoroughly and chop into smaller pieces,
2. Put the strawberry,glycerin,cocoa powder and oat grains into a food processor and mix,
3. Add water as needed to the desired thickness, but make sure mixture is not too runny so that it stays on your face,

Note: If you are not using a food processor, all you need is a bowl and pestle or some utensil that you can use to mash up the strawberries into small enough pieces, and mix in the other ingredients. The mixture will be a little chunky, but that’s okay because enough of the nutritious strawberry liquid will be released into the mask.

-Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C and polyphenols which are antioxidants which help to keep
the skin looking young, It also helps to keep the skin toned,
-Cocoa powder is also rich in antioxidants which gives an added effect,
-Oat grains contain proteins which condition, soften and soothe the skin,
-Glycerin is an emollient which attracts water into the skin.
Overall this mask conditions, soften and keeps the skin looking young.
