Strawberries and Yogurt facial treat!

Strawberries and yogurt are scrumptious not only for the taste buds, but also for the skin.

Strawberries are rich in vitamins, especially Vitamin C which is a strong anti-oxidant that helps protect the skin from free radical damage. Free radicals are produced naturally by the skin cells but are bad for the skin and contribute to aging skin. Anti-oxidants help to neutralize these free radicals and get rid of them. It is therefore awesome for keeping the skin healthy. Vitamin C is also helps to keep the skin soft by improving it’s elasticity and helps to reduce age spots.

Plain yogurt soothes and softens the skin. It also contains lactic acid which helps to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin.

Now onto the good stuff!

Ingredients and items needed:
1 medium strawberry
1/3 cup plain yogurt
small bowl
small food processor or hand held mixer

Directions:
Put the strawberry into the food processor or bowl, and add the yogurt. Blend until mixture is relatively smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes. Mask is ready to use.

Cleanse your face and use an appropriate toner. At this stage, apply the mask on to your face and neck. Leave on for about 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Your face should be feeling extra yummy at this point. Follow with a moisturizer.

If you don’t feel like going through the steps above, you can just dip the strawberry in the yogurt and enjoy it like this:
